A young Napier woman is desperate to find her 3-year-old purebred dog - believed stolen from its lead - before she returns to study in Invercargill next month.
Kate Raven, 19, left her beloved pet, a male bichon frise, securely tied in a Mason St, Napier back yard on November 30.
When she returned half an hour later, the pet was gone.
"We have to go back to Invercargill soon and I really don't want to leave without him," she said.
It was unlikely the dog escaped unaided as there had been a number of other items taken from the property recently.
