Speed restrictions and stop/go signalling is still in place at the sites of slips on two of the region's highways which will mean possible travel delays of up to five minutes.
Slip removal crews are working in the Whakaki region of SH2 between Wairoa and Morere as well as on SH38 between Mangapapa and Frasertown.
The slips came down during belts of heavy rain back in August and contractors have been using heavy loaders and trucks to remove the large amount of debris as well as stabilise the areas.

Motorists are asked to drive with caution through the areas as heavy machinery would be in action.
