A Hastings man will appear in court today facing several charges, after he allegedly fled police on a Harley Davidson and crashed into a roundabout.
Hastings Police Acting Sergeant Nic Renall said police noticed the man, who was a patched mongrel mob member, driving a motorcycle "poorly" near Hawke's Bay Hospital in Hastings about 2.30pm.
The man fled police before crashing his Harley Davidson motorcycle on the roundabout at the Hawke's Bay Expressway and Omahu Rd intersection.
He attempted to resist arrest but was taken into custody. It is understood he was uninjured in the crash.
The man will appear in Hastings District Court today facing charges, including driving in a dangerous manner, failure to stop and possession of meth.
