Creative fibre group members from across Hawke's Bay wide are taking part in an exhibition and sale of work at the Hastings Community Arts Centre from May 9 to 21.
Held every second year, the theme for this year's event is "A moment in time" and convener Kim Priest says she's been overwhelmed with the cross section of creativity, technique and artistry that is on show.
Nineteen exhibitors from 10 different groups, located between Mahia and Takapau, have entered 41 items ranging from those new to the crafts to seasoned members of the region's fibre-crafting community. Some of these exhibitors have won awards or merits at national competitions, some tutor or judge events in Hawke's Bay and nationally. All items are for sale as are many of the exhibition pieces.
When: Monday, May 9 to Saturday, May 21, 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm on Saturdays.
Where: Hastings Community Arts Centre, 106 Russell St South.
