Central Hawke's Bay has won the 2015/2016 Hawke's Bay men's premier reserve grade interclub competition.
The Waipukurau Squash and Tennis club players competed against teams from around the Hawke's Bay region in the nine-round competition.
There were four-man teams on the day with each player playing doubles and singles.
The players involved throughout the competition were: Ross Clayton (captain), Mike Foster, Mark Houghton, Elliot Peacock, Tom O'Sullivan, Arie Groenveld, Brian McCoskery, Ken Mills, James Parsons and Dean Hutt.
Ross says there is currently a lot of depth in Central Hawke's Bay men's tennis, and Waipukurau's men's Wednesday night teams doubles competition has 110 registered players. Tennis is not only going strong in Waipukurau, however, with good membership in the Takapau, Waipawa and Porangahau clubs as well.
