A capsized boat was rescued near Napier Port last night.
Emergency services were alerted to a group of divers with a capsized boat about two nautical miles northeast of Napier Port at 7.40pm.
A police spokesperson said another boat had picked up the divers and tried to help turn the boat over but failed.
Everybody was on-board the other boat and was safe, she said.
Coastguard Hawke's Bay was called to assist in rescuing the boat but before they arrived the same boat which had rescued the divers managed to tow the boat on its side into Napier Sailing Club.
