A 200m-wide slip on Clifton beach has "come at the wrong time" but Gannet Beach Adventures are taking it in their stride.
Co-owner Colin Lindsay said slips on the beach happened about once a year, but this was one of the biggest he'd seen in his time running the tours.
"It's not all bad ... we're lucky, we've got a good team of staff and we'll work through it."
Since the slip happened on Friday his tours had taken a tractor to the slip, with passengers walking over it to meet another tractor on the other side.
"It's a bit of an inconvenience for us ... but our passengers just think it's another little adventure, it's not something they do every day. The sea will do its thing, we're just making our decisions day by day."
