The Napier Repertory Players' entry in this year's National TheatreFest finals has scooped three major awards and left Snap Time's writer John Cocking savouring two additional awards he picked up.
As well as taking Best production of a New Zealand Play, Best Adult Production and Best Overall Production, Mr Cocking accepted the Theatre NZ Award for Best Actor and the Olga E Harding New Zealand Playwriting Award.
The string of successes left Mr Cocking and Snap Time director Sharyn Hildreth delighted.
"I was over the moon," Mr Cocking said.
"I was really keen to get the playwriting award, which was presented first, but being announced as Best Actor a couple of minutes later was a real surprise and thrill as there were some excellent performances during the weekend."
