Organisers of the 2016 Harcourts Hawke's Bay Arts Festival are calling for volunteers.
Festival director Pitsch Leiser says the team has planned an ambitious event for 2016, with 55 shows across 10 different venues throughout the Bay.
"We're a small team with a huge event to run, so once again we'll be relying on additional support from volunteers," he said. Volunteers help in a variety of roles including ticketing, ushering and transporting performers and crew to and from Hawke's Bay Airport.
The majority of volunteers will be based at the Spiegeltent in Havelock North, which will this year play host to a staggering 30 performances.
"It's a great way to meet new people while supporting the arts in Hawke's Bay. A huge bonus for the ushers is the opportunity to see shows, many of which will have sold out by the time the festival kicks off," he said.
