Icons of New Zealand's music scene will pay tribute to musician Ian Morris tomorrow in a memorial at Napier Municipal Theatre.
Mr Morris, 53, was found dead in Napier last Thursday.
Together with Dave Dobbyn and Peter Urlich, he was a founding member of the star 1970s group Th' Dudes. He also had a No 1 song under the name Tex Pistol.
He had lived in Napier with his wife, singer Kim Willoughby and their three children since early 2005.
His death is before the coroner.
Singer Debbie Harwood has organised tomorrow's 2pm service. Doors open 1.30pm. The family is holding a private funeral.
