A re-issued version of a classic New Zealand film, Utu Redux, returned to Napier last night - 30 years after its initial premier.
It also marked the first digital showing at MTG Century Theatre in Napier, since doors were closed for renovations more than three years ago.
Director Geoff Murphy and director of photography and Utu Redux producer, Graeme Cowley attended, as well as Film Hawke's Bay representative Gilly Lawrence and mother Victoria, who was locations manager on the original film.
"It's really great to have them here for the opening," MTG marketing team leader Pam Joyce said.
"It's not a sell out, but there will be a good crowd for our first film since 2010."
