Reading rocks, just ask the children enrolled in the Dannevirke Library's summer reading programme.
With 130 children taking part in the younger children's programme and 50 Year 7 and 8 children on the book quest and another 30 high school pupils on read plus, senior librarian Nikki Price said the response has been wonderful.
"We've had a lot of children completing their book reviews and everyone is very enthusiastic," she said.
"Whatever the weather, we always have good numbers taking part in our reading programmes. People enjoy their books."
The summer holiday entertainment at the library has also drawn big numbers, with Adrian Kirk combining juggling, unicycling and comedy in a funny discussion about his favourite books last week.
