Those involved in the proposed new "one-stop Plunket-shop" are hailing the Napier branch of BNZ and the Napier Speight's Ale House for their quiz night fundraiser.
Organiser Hannah Giddens said it was a fantastic effort and show of support for the cause.
"BNZ organised it and it's just fantastic that businesses are going out of their way to do things for us," she said.
Napier Speight's Ale House owner Tony McEwan said they were more than happy to house the quiz night.
"It was a great night, all we had to do was supply the venue and quiz," he said.
"It was a fun night, and great turnout - it was a success."
Napier BNZ banking adviser Nicky Panapa said she organised the evening as a fun way to raise funds.
"We did the quiz night and raised more than $700 so it was a good night," she said.
Mrs Panapa has also been responsible for other fundraising events - she made Valentine's Day cookies on Monday for bank customers to buy with all the proceeds going to Plunket.
Now it's your turn. Hawke's Bay Today challenges businesses to do their part for the younger generation and the wider Hawke's Bay community - can you earn a place on the wall of honour? Will your idea be big enough or creative enough to get a mention in the paper?
