Theresa Gattung is Napier City Council's next Business Breakfast speaker.

Named in Fortune magazine's list of the 50 most powerful women in international business several times since 2002, Theresa Gattung is Napier City Council's next Business Breakfast speaker on July 1.

My Food Bag is one of three start-ups she is involved with and, in three years, turnover has grown to $100 million.

The food-delivery company was born from the idea that healthy and flavoursome food could also be convenient.

The company goal is to bring inspiring, nutritionally balanced, tasty recipes and the best seasonal produce together and deliver it to the customer.

It is now servicing most of New Zealand large cities as well as Sydney and Melbourne.

She takes an active role in the management, marketing and direction of My Food Bag, and will share the vision and challenges faced by the team.

"It is always a pleasure to come to Napier - a true foodie destination, and I had no hesitation in accepting the invite when Napier City Council asked me."

Her business career includes involvement with AIA Australia (Life Insurance), Telco Technology Services Limited and Wool Partners International.

She is also co-founder and trustee of the Eva Doucas Charitable Trust and the World Women Charitable Trust, patron of the Cambodia Charitable Trust and chairwoman of the Wellington Board of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Last year, she was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business and philanthropy, and last August she was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame at the 2015 TVNZ Marketing Awards.

Due to a revamp of the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre, the breakfast will be held at 7am Friday, July 1 at MTG Century Theatre.
