Kirsty Wynn is a senior journalist with more than 25 years experience in Auckland newsrooms. She started her career as a cadet at the Manukau Courier newspaper before gaining her journalism qualification. After a couple of years on a working holiday in London, she spent five years working for weekend papers before joining the Herald on Sunday in 2005 as a chief reporter. Since then she has worked across different NZME publications covering breaking news, crime, social issues, child safety and property. Kirsty has studied a Bachelor of Arts (English, Political Studies) at the University of Auckland and has a Graduate Diploma in Communications from Auckland University of Technology (AUT). She has won awards for her work covering breaking news, and childhood cancer and has been a finalist for reporter of the year at the Voyager Media Awards.
