Nearly 50 people turned up for the prizegiving, which was held at the Gisborne Speedway Club’s rooms
The Starr family also featured, Noah picking up the award for most improved and his grandad Ian being recognised as most helpful club member . . . he turns up at nearly all working bees.
The youngest driver in the open class, 13-year-old Vinzent MacGregor, was also the winner of that class. He turned 13 only two weeks ago, so raced as a 12-year-old.
Julie Hollamby presented the Wayvern Vause Memorial trophies she donated for fastest lap time for men and women.
The other trophies were presented in a combined effort by Barry Irvine and Daniel Taylor.
The Irvine family (44 Creations) again made the sashes for the club prizegiving.
