Three games of one hour were played with alternate ends having a twist, such as the jack being delivered after the bowls and all bowls delivered in front of the jack being removed.
The tournament was sponsored by Olivia Scott’s business, East Coast Property Enhancement.
Olivia presented the tournament prizes then added several spot prizes — for the “best hat in the show”, the player with “best bowls etiquette”, “front runner”, “fighting spirit” and “MVP — most
valuable player”.
Bruce Ball ran a sweepstake, with help from Win Baker, and club members shared nibbles before watching the Melbourne Cup race.
