John Berry and Phil Thompson topped a nine-strong field to win the Cosmopolitan Snooker Club’s Ray Swann Championship Pairs last weekend.
There were some good combinations which made for a well contested competition.
Those to make it to the semifinals were Steve Wood and Wayne Tautau, Alex Nanai and Busby Akuhata, Tiny Thompson and Kasi Lelea, and Berry and Thompson.
Wood and Tautau knocked out recent Gisborne Masters handicap winner Lelea and Tiny Thompson, while Berry and Phil Thompson eliminated Nanai and Akuhata.
