DRIVING positive values into the hearts and minds of New Zealand school children came by way of a Vodafone Warriors truck in this district on Tuesday.
The Mac Superline emblazoned with the Warriors logo is New Zealand’s biggest mobile classroom and stopped in at Te Wharau School in Kaiti, and
Ruatoria schools, Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Te Waiu and Ngata College on Tuesday.
The truck is on a promotional tour of the country as part of an initiative partnered by the Tu Kaha Foundation and the Vodafone Warriors.
Children had a quick tour of the classroom, which will be used in the future as a means of delivering a Te Kaha values-programme to low decile schools, specifically those in the rural areas.
The programme aims to help five to nine-year-olds make good decisions in life by focusing on a solid value base, and the Warriors are on board to help endorse the programme.
