Pittar had matching nines of 49 and his performance deservedly won him the junior men’s net.
There was a signal of things to come from the long-time Patutahi member two days before. Pittar had 22 points in the meat pack 9-hole stableford on Friday although it was only good enough for third in the 9+ handicap division.
Warwick Stevens won with 23 points on countback from Matt White.
The up-to-8 handicap section was a family 1-2. Electrinet Park’s Shannon Toa fired an even-par 35 for 22 points while son Blue was second on 21.
