Te Puke’s skill and know-how came to the fore in a successful Super 11 Ultimate Festival hosted by Gisborne Intermediate School last week.
Five intermediate schools — Gis Int, Ilminster, Te Puke, Mount Maunganui and Tauranga — competed at the festival which is part of the Super 11 programme involving
11 Gisborne and Bay of Plenty schools in 28 different sports .
Gis Int had four teams in the festival, Te Puke and the Mount two apiece, and Tauranga and Ilminster one apiece.
They played round-robin in two pools, followed by semifinals and positional playoffs.
The final was between Gis Int Gliders and a Te Puke side.
