In the second round, Pinn beat Trafford 21-4, while McFarlane beat Knight 21-6.
Trafford pulled out of the next round for health reasons, so defaulting her game against McFarlane.
One-lifer McFarlane faced two-lifer Pinn in the potential final round.
On the last end, Pinn led 19-14 and held three shots. McFarlane tried to draw one shot closer to the jack to reduce the margin but was unsuccessful. Pinn decided not to deliver her last bowl and won the game 21-14, thereby winning the junior women's three-years-and-under club championship singles with both lives intact.
In the junior women's section for players with up to eight years of bowls experience, Diane Oates beat Nanette Treloar 20-12 in the first round.
Treloar then defeated Ann Ward 21-7 in the second round.
In the third round, Ward lost her second life when Oates defeated her 21-3. With two lives still intact, Oates met one-lifer Treloar in the potential final round. After some good bowls throughout the game, Oates defeated Treloar 21-16.
In the senior women's section, Queenie Takurua comfortably won her first game against Dianne Phillips, 21-12, while Dayvinia Mills defeated Tanya Harrison with the same scoreline.
In the second round, Phillips defeated Harrison 21-19, which meant Harrison had lost her second life.
Phillips met Takurua in the third round, and it was great to watch them battle it out. Phillips lost her second life when Takurua defeated her 21-15.
Takurua then played two-lifer Mills in the potential final. Mills comfortably won 21-6 to take the senior women's club championship singles.
In the competition for junior men with up to eight years' bowls experience, Don Oates defeated Steve Ward in the first round, while Geoff Pinn defeated Roger Dymock.
In the second round, Pinn won a close game against Ron Robertson, then defeated Oates 21-18.
Ward defeated Dymock in the next game and Robertson in the following round. However, Ward lost his remaining life when Oates defeated him.
Oates faced two-lifer Pinn in the potential final and, after some awesome bowls, Pinn won the game 21-18 to take the men's championship singles for those with up to eight years' bowls experience.
In the junior men's section for players with up to three years' bowls experience, first-year bowler Stuart Robb, 92, was competing in his first club championship tournament.
Robb defeated Hugh Trafford in the first round and good mate Peter Ferris in the next.
Ferris had defeated George Stanley in his first game. Trafford then defeated Stanley in the next round but lost to Ferris in the round after that.
The potential final pitted one-lifer Ferris against two-lifer Robb. It was great to watch these two first-year bowlers play some brilliant bowls.
On the last end, Robb held a few shots and Ferris failed in his bid to prevent a winning margin. With both his lives intact, Robb won the game 21-18 to take his first club championship title.
The senior men's competition will resume on Sunday on the Gisborne Bowling Club greens.
Ricky Miller is the only player with both lives intact, and the others still in the contest are Steve Goldsbury, Tim Sherriff, Charlie Ure and Robin Jefferson.
