The organisers of the annual Tairawhiti ‘Young Grower’ Competition are on the lookout for potential new sponsors for the event scheduled to take place on July 20.

“Event planning is well underway and contestants, growers, and wider industry participants are looking forward to this event after a challenging 12 months,” said competition spokesman Scott Wilson from Kaiaponi Farms.

“If you have been a previous sponsor — thank you. If you are considering this request and require further information, then please contact Natalya Egan or myself.”

“We just now need some sunny weather and sponsorship commitment to help with it.”

Mr Wilson said prospective sponsors have the opportunity to position their business alongside a progressive and exciting industry.

“Your sponsorship will illustrate your support for the fruit and vegetable sector’s next generation of young growers.”

• Entries for the event remain open for those under the age of 30. Contact either Scott Wilson or Natalya Egan at 027 601 3777 or email at: nat@growing.co.nz.
