The highlight of yesterday's sheep sale at Matawhero was the sale of Wiltshire ewe lambs from Arakihi Station at Tolaga Bay.
Their top cut of 75 sold for $240, subsequent cuts made $190 and $145, all of which will almost certainly be used for breeding.
The total yarding of 3410
was made up almost entirely of store lambs.
The best price for the mixed-sex store lambs went to Steven D Fisher who sold a pen of 28 fat lambs for $136. A second cut of 12 fetched $131.
Most of the lines this week were of good body size. Prices paid were similar to that paid last week.
