The Tokomaru Bay Heritage Trust is once again raising money for its long-term efforts to restore the historic wharf.
For the ninth year in a row, volunteers are selling calendars as the trust endeavours to raise more than $5 million.
Volunteer John Robinson said to date the trust had raised
about $100,00 towards that.
Fellow volunteer Lois McCarthy-Robinson said the Navy having to supply the township after Cyclone Gabrielle struck had highlighted the need for safe moorage.
The calandars, which feature photographs of local historical interest, will be on sale next Friday outside the HB Williams Memorial Library in Peel Street between 8am and 1pm.
