A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.

I want to thank the general public of Gisborne for supporting our peaceful gatherings to show solidarity with the marginalised people of Palestine. As we stand in absolute grief and distress for the loss of 14,000 Palestinian lives, over 6000 of those innocent children, every single toot of a horn, wave of an arm, shout from a passing car has lifted our spirits in a way I cannot describe!

It’s a painful thing to read about, it’s hard to look at. Thank you for not looking away.

All are welcome to come stand with us, if only for a moment, to show that New Zealand won’t stand for the genocide!

Our Facebook page is Tairāwhiti/Gisborne Stands With Palestine if you want to find out more about how to get involved.

Again, thank you!!
