I thoroughly concur with “Seriously Concerned”, pointing out problems with healthcare. Unfortunately I feel that this is only part of the problem.
We had a wonderful service with CCS, but Healthcare NZ have been very wayward with their promises.
I am an elderly client with health problems. I appreciate the devoted attention of the caregivers, but they seem to be treated with little respect by the powers-that-be. And as a client, I am very frustrated with sometimes even a non-service, among other things.
There is an office in Gisborne and it beggars belief that Healthcare NZ doesn’t employ local facilitators who know the geography of the district and who can communicate easily with caregivers and clients as required.
