The new Kainga Ora homes planned for Ruatorea look good — especially having roof eaves, which are important for comfortable living.
The computer-generated picture shows the roof spouting downpipes going down into the ground; hopefully this will not happen.
The rain water from the roof needs to be collected in water tanks that are supplied as part of the complete build.
