Re: Report into climate risk finds Europe unprepared, March 13 story.
I am pleased that although The Gisborne Herald is no longer locally owned, you continue alerting us to overseas news that globally affects humanity’s long-term wellbeing.
Knowing bigger and wealthier nations are also unprepared for the escalating climate change events brings little comfort to me, but confirms my ongoing message that we are all in this together, and all peoples must unite to face the challenges ahead.
I appreciated the Greenpeace comments: “One solution is for countries and cities to improve their spatial planning to be fitter for the future health risks from the heat.” Plus, The EEA’s report has “given a very clear warning and a very clear call to action”.
