Applications for the latest round of the Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa Fast Fund have reopened through Sport Gisborne Tairāwhiti.

Tū Manawa supports costs for projects that encourage children and young people who have barriers to being active.

For the Fast Fund, requests must be for $10,000 or less.

The Large Fund will be opening up later in 2023.

That fund is for requests between $10,000 and $30,000.

The Sport Gisborne Tairāwhiti team will consult with groups wanting to apply, to help them understand if the fund fits the criteria before an application is submitted.

“I would really encourage anyone wanting to apply to reach out and talk with our staff,” said said Sport Gisborne Tairāwhiti general manager Kylie Turuwhenua-Tapsell. “We’re doing work to reduce the application workload.

“We also have kaimahi (staff) Māori who can help with kaupapa Māori projects and have capability to understand the projects impact for whānau,  hapū,  hapori and kura.
