Wow, what a Rugby World Cup final — and how the ref and the third umpire/television match official took part in the game.
The thing that peeved me off was that they say there is a referee, two linesmen and a third umpire/referee. Well, I was gobsmacked that there were four monitors in the third umpire box and four people monitoring them, so they had to be taking part in the decision-making of the game. I’m sure they’re not there to watch cartoons.
Talk about a frustrating game for a final. I was hoping the referee would let the game flow, but when other people make decisions for him it’s disappointing.
