TAIRAWHITI people have shown their creative streaks when it comes to face masks, as evidenced in the examples posted on The Gisborne Herald Facebook page. With the wearing of masks becoming mandatory in places such as supermarkets, dairies and medical facilities during Alert Level 4, we put a call out for people to show us what they're wearing. The people responded with examples ranging from the stylish to the bizarre. Here is a range of those. We decided not to post the picture of the dude who had fashioned a mask out of a nappy.
