POLICE responded to a break-in at the Enterprise Cars Swim Centre in Nelson Road early this morning and a dog team tracked the alleged offenders for two kilometres to make arrests.
The call to the burglary came in at 3.55am.
“Two people allegedly broke into the complex, searched it and
then made off with a bag and some lollies,” a police spokesman said.
“The dog team tracked them to a house two kilometres away and they were arrested.”
A 20-year-old and a 17-year-old, both males, will appear in Gisborne District Court on burglary charges.
