Surfing for Farmers will kick off for the summer in Gisborne on November 21 and in Tolaga Bay on December 7. The unique stress-relief ‘break’ for the men and women of the land now operates at 27 locations across the country.
“We’ll base the Gisborne event from the new Midway
Surf Rescue Community Hub,” said the founder of Surfing for Farmers, Gisborne’s own Stephen Thomson.
“Some of the sites around New Zealand started this week.” Last summer more than 4100 farmers took to the waves. Duncan Cook and Jono Williams were pictured at previous surf events for farmers in Gisborne.
