The Sunrise Foundation’s annual funding round is open for grant applications from any charity or community organisation with a charitable purpose in the region.
Applications must be received by Sunrise before 4pm, July 18, and will be assessed by an experienced grants committee, with all applicants informed of the outcome by September 28.
“Tairāwhiti has endured so much over the past few months, but it’s important Sunrise still supports those local groups who need it through our annual funding round from our General fund,” Sunrise executive officer Glenda Stokes said.
“For us it’s business as usual. Granting to our community where the need is greatest is why we exist and what we love doing.”
All donations and legacies made to Sunrise are invested in perpetuity, protecting and growing the capital for future generations, with the surplus investment income granted back to worthy causes in Tairāwhiti in an annual funding round.
