Manus, bombs, staples or just a plain old leap were among the box of jumping tricks this group of Gisborne children performed as they leapt into the Ilminster Intermediate school pool last week to cool off as temperatures soared.
Ka Pai Kaiti is overseeing a summer pool programme at theschool, with lifeguards on daily duty from 12 noon to 5pm throughout January. Every Wednesday there is an activity and free barbecue. This Wednesday will feature a water volleyball competition. Swimmers can team up and register on the day.
