A CAR stolen from an address in Glasgow Crescent in Kaiti yesterday afternoon was recovered not long after in Clifford Street after it hit the kerb and stopped. Police were called about the theft shortly after 2pm.
“The car, with three young women in it, was driven into a fence
at the Glasgow Crescent address and sustained some damage to its back bumper,” a police spokesman said.
“Members of the owner's family saw it being driven in another area soon after and followed it to Clifford Street where it hit a kerb and became disabled.”
The three occupants, believed to be teenagers, ran off before police arrived. They have not yet been located.
