Originally built for Renaissance Cruises and launched in 2000, Nautica is now owned and operated by Oceania Cruises as part of their Regatta Class. She measures 181 metres in length, has a draft of 5.95m and carries 680 passengers and 400 crew. The ship has four restaurants, a spa centre, eight lounges and bars, a casino and 342 lavish suites and luxurious staterooms. In other shipping news, charter ship Kakariki has been confirmed as the first kiwifruit ship to call into Gisborne this season to take away export cargo. Karariki will arrive on March 18.
