SALVATION Army Family Store manager Heidi Parkes says the store has been donated so many quality household items that there is an urgent need to make some space.
“We have about 4000 to 5000 books in one of our storage sheds, so we are going to have a massive sale
tomorrow.”
Getting rid of the books will clear storage space so staff can store the “extraordinary good quality” items that have recently been donated.
“Next we need to get more people through the store door so we can sell what is there and put new goods into the store.” The book sale will be from 8am to 11am at the church cafe, in the Salvation Army Church, next to Noel Leemings in Gladstone Road. Picture by Rebecca Grunwell
