Police, firefighters and St John ambulance were called to the city end of Riverside Road on Saturday night after a near head-on crash between two cars.
It happened just before 6pm.
“One person in one of the cars was assessed at the scene by the ambulance crew,” an emergency services spokesman said.
“There were no noteable injuries.”
The cars collided at the front right hand corner of each vehicle.
■ Emergency services were called out Friday afternoon to a crash on the Waingake Road at Manutuke.
A vehicle had left the road and hit a bank.
Fire crews from Gisborne and Manutuke were mobilised, but the Gisborne crew was recalled when it was clear their services would not be required.
A senior firefighter said it was a non-injury crash.
Police and St John ambulance were also called to the scene.
