A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.

Opinion

The failure of governance by Gisborne District Council as identified in the findings of Ms Parata’s report leaves Madam Mayor with no alternative but to tender her immediate resignation, stand down the current councillor incompetents and call in not one but a “cavalry” of Commissioners to clean up the GDC’s muppetry.

Seeing as the AllSpark is “coming home to her whakapapa” I wonder if any thought has been given to press-ganging her into service to rearrange the deckchairs on the Titanic.

Ms Parata, my earlier correspondance at the inception of this inquiry was baseless. I yield and my mokopuna thank you for presenting your thorough assessment.

Madam Mayor must be terrified at the thought of now having to explain to Cabinet how it all went so wrong.

Ka Taka Te Kapa.
