The Rapid Relief Team (RRT)will head to Wairoa on October 4 to support flood-affected farmers there by bringing them together for a day out and to supply them with donations of fencing packs.

“Don’t let this opportunity pass you by — come and experience a day of camaraderie, support, and valuable resources,” said Beef + Lamb NZ’s Mark Harris.

“This fantastic event includes donated fencing packs with posts, battens and wire (valued at $1500 each), RRT’s free BBQ breakfast and lunch, delicious barista coffee, an opportunity to connect with your local community, and access to local support services, including health services, farm management advisory, and veterinary support.”

Mr Harris urges farmers to register now for it. The recent Gisborne event drew 300-plus farmers and they took home around $450,000 of donated fencing gear.

“Farmers must register at www.bit.ly/oct23fcc to receive free fencing, and registrations close on  September 27. B+LNZ will be there supporting the event — so head along and join us for a great day of giving back and supporting you, our hard-working farmers.”
