Re: Close eye on smaller parties, September 2 editorial.
A really good editorial that, in my opinion, tells it like it is.
However, in keeping that entreaty — “the close eye” — in mind, it still appears that the print media is studiously avoiding mentioning the fact that NZ First is now drawing “standing room only” capacity crowds to its election meetings.
Of course, TV news broadcasters seem to be a little more inclusive by broadcasting “Peters Party” comments, and it is easily understood why the comments of Winston Peters, as a consumate “statesman’’, may well be feared by some other parties.
