It was a case of sport for all at the Parafed open day last weekend.
“The day, held at Ilminster Intermediate, was a great success,” Parafed regional development coordinator Louise Ellery said.
“Loads of fun was had and many people in our community who live with a disability got the
opportunity to come down and have a go at a variety of sports we have to offer.
“Over 50 people attended throughout the day.”
Those who attended got the chance to try adaptive rugby provided by Poverty Bay Rugby Football Union, adaptive netball through Gisborne Netball Centre, wheelchair basketball, boccia, table tennis, blind cricket, and active play through Sport Gisborne Tairāwhiti.
