A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.

What has happened to our council?
Surely our rates should be to cover necessities for the region — not to pay for the desires and fantasies of councillors and council staff.
Why change Grey Street? For countless years we have been able to walk, cycle or drive to Waikanae Beach without any
problem. What was the cause for the change?
It looks like this idea that someone came up with, and every councillor fell in line with, is going to be a million-dollar exercise for taxpayers and ratepayers.
Why can’t we live within the bounds of what we ratepayers, especially superannuitants, can afford? Why should we pay for unneccesary flights of fancy?
