A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.

While tinged with sadness to read that The Gisborne Herald has changed hands, it would not have been a decision taken lightly by Michael Muir and his whānau. I say this having been privileged to work for Michael for 23 years — what a wonderful time and enjoyable experience.
Ngā mihi
Michael, for the high levels of trust and leadership shown, and for your family-centric and community-minded work ethic. Under your leadership I was offered many opportunities and will be forever grateful.
So, from mine to yours, all the very best to you, Anne and the family. Te aroha me te whakaaro nui i ngā wā katoa — Love and respect always.
