Re: Footpaths a nightmare for disability scooter riders, April 16 story.
Nona, you are right. Not only footpaths are broken and uneven, but so is a lot of the city infrastructure — sewers, roads, stormwater, lights, bridges, etc. The problem is, how much money is needed to fix things properly? Council
need to forget about the nice-to-haves and cosmetic things, and get priorities right. They also need to get value for money from their services and stop burdening unnecessary expense on ratepayers.
