After appearing to have handed control of election tactics to Sir John Key, Christopher Luxon is apparently trying to scare votes away from NZ First by suggesting that National may not go into coalition with them — thus creating a need for a second election.
That would not be a smart move by National, given that in one poll 60 percent of those polled wanted a wealth or capital gains tax just to come near to balancing our books. There must also be a significant percentage of votes for NZ First among the undecided on that basis also.
In my opinion, with Labour having ruled itself out of Government, National would be in a “lose-lose” position by refusing to work with NZ First.
