Parliament TV. You know you want to.
PEOPLE in Gisborne are now able to keep a live eye on the parliamentary happenings of their local MPs, without the need for a satellite dish.
Starting yesterday, Parliament TV is now available on Freeview to more regional viewers across New Zealand. An expanded broadcast network includes Gisborne. The channel
is available across the Freeview UHF network, without the need for a satellite dish.
“It is fantastic that the expansion of Parliament TV will allow residents from nine additional regions to engage with Parliament, particularly in an election year,” Clerk of the House of Representatives David Wilson said.
In 2011, the Freeview television service was extended to include transmission sites operated by Johnston, Dick and Associates (JDA).
At that time, Parliament TV was not included that expansion, but they are now able to broadcast Parliament TV across JDA’s network through a relay site at Wheatstone Road and Parikanapa.
