SIDESHOW alley is under construction ahead of the Spring Show on Friday and Saturday. Paul Mahon from Mahons Amusements is pictured at work on the Gravitron. His uncle John said it was good to be back in Gisborne again.
“This weather is great and we should have the sideshows ready
to go sometime Thursday,” John Mahon said.
“We’ve got something new this year. It’s probably New Zealand’s largest inflatable obstacle course at 75 metres long, for kiddies under 10.”
Other Showgrounds Park preparations gathered momentum today. Two showjumping rings and a showhunter ring have been laid out for the equestrian competition that starts on Thursday.
“Everything is pretty much on track,” a show spokeswoman said. “The trades folks are arriving to start their set up. The grounds are in fantastic order.”
